2012 US Open Tennis – Winners List

The 2012 US Open was played from August 27 to September 10. The winners are

Men’s Singles: Andy Murray

Andy Murray became the first British male player since 1936 to win a Grand Slam singles title. Andy Murray became the first British winner of a Grand Slam singles title since 1936, by defeating the defending champion Novak Djokovic in the final.

Women’s Singles: Serena Williams

Serena Williams, through sheer force of will as much as her skill with the racket, beat world number one Victoria Azarenka in a dramatic U.S. Open final on 09^th September 2012 to capture her 15th singles grand slam title.

• Boy’s Doubles: Kyle Edmund (United Kingdom), Frederico Ferreira Silva (Portugal)
