The Commonwealth Bank (or Commbank) of Australia is a multinational bank. It was founded under the Commonwealth Bank Act in 1911 and commenced operations in 1912, empowered to conduct both savings and general banking business. Headquarters: Sydney, Australia. Between 1991 and 1996 the Australian government fully privatised Commonwealth Bank.
The Mumbai branch of the Commonwealth Bank was established in 2010 and provides a range of savings accounts, loans, money transfers and international trade finance services for customers in India. The branch also offers a range of NRI products for Indians living in Australia.
